MARKER HELIKITES
Jungle Marker Helikites
Helikites can move up through the branches of jungles and woods and fly in the strong winds above the canopy. This allows them to mark the position of people to aid exact location from aircraft.
The ‘Jungle Marker Helikite’ is a special, high specification version of the Lightweight Helikite in a tough, waterproof, buoyant 2kg package with its own helium supply.
This balloon has a fluorescent orange upper surface for high daylight visibility and can carry a strobe light or light stick for night use.

Jungle Marker Balloons have been trialled with the British Army in Borneo. They rise through the thermals within the humid jungle canopy before flying steadily in the high winds above the trees.
The Jungle Marker Balloon was found to be very reliable and an extremely effective position marker. It was even described by one officer as "light-years ahead of the competition".
Minimum order for Jungle Markers is 20 units.
Sea Rescue Helikites
A marine version of this product is also available and known as the "Sea Rescue Helikite".
It features extra strong flying line and a very long metallic tail to provide a large radar signal at 200ft altitude.
Minimum order = 20 units.
If single units are needed for use from boats or vehicles, then we recommend using a standard 'Lightweight Helikite' and filling it from a disposable helium cylinder easily obtained from Amazon, or many high street balloon retailers.
